And did you get a chance to see the cemetery about 4 blocks from the Moulin Rouge? Oddly tranquil. Rue de Lepic (usually filled with markets) is one of my favorite bits of Paris, not least because of the art history of the street - most of the flats were occupied by famous artists during the late 1800s.
